How to claim your free profile

  1. Find your shop. Search by name at the top of this page.
  2. Tap "Claim this store." If you don't have a free account or aren't signed in, you'll be asked to sign in or create one when you tap "Claim this store." If your shop isn't listed, tap "Recommend your shop."
  3. Tell me who you are. Your name and how you're connected to the shop. Claim while signed in to the account you'll use to manage it. That account gets editing access, even if you enter a different email on the form.
  4. Get approved. I review the claim, and you get notified via email once your store claim is verified.
  5. Update your shop's profile. Sign in and tap "Profile." Your shop is near the top. Tap "Go to my shop," then "Edit my store."

Questions shop owners ask

What is Threadstone?

A free app stitchers use to find needlepoint shops by location, along a road-trip route, or by rating. They favorite shops they love, wishlist shops to visit, log their stops, and leave reviews.

How did my shop get on Threadstone?

Shop listings come from public information and from stitchers who recommend them.

Does it cost anything?

No. Claiming your shop profile and keeping it updated is free.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free Threadstone account. It's how I know the edits are coming from you. If you don't have one, you'll be asked to create one when you tap "Claim this store."

How long does approval take?

Usually a few days. I check each claim myself to make sure the person claiming a shop is connected to it.

What can I change once I'm verified?

Your description, hours, phone, email, website, address, storefront photo, two additional photos, and your logo.

I'm verified, but my shop isn't on my profile.

You're probably signed in to a different account than the one you used to claim it. Sign out and sign in with that account. Not sure which one it was? Email me and I'll check.

How do reviews work for my shop?

Once your shop is verified, you'll get an email whenever a stitcher leaves or updates a review. Tap "Respond to this review" in the email, or on your shop page while you're signed in, to post a public reply. You can edit or remove your reply any time. Reviews stay in the stitcher's words, so you can't edit or remove them. If a review looks wrong or breaks the rules, email me and I'll take a look.

My shop isn't on Threadstone. Can I recommend it?

Yes. You'll need a free Threadstone account. Choose "I own or work at this shop" on the form, and your claim is sent in at the same time, so you can manage your listing once I approve it.

Stitchers are already looking. Make sure your shop is ready.
