These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Threadstone (the "Service"), a community directory for needlepoint and craft stores operated by RockWorks LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Threadstone. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and are not prohibited from using it under any applicable law.

2. Your Account

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us promptly at [email protected].

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

3. Acceptable Use

Threadstone is a community built on trust and shared enthusiasm for needlepoint. Please use it accordingly. You agree not to:

post false, fake, or misleading store listings, reviews, or ratings;
impersonate any person or entity;
post content that is harassing, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence or discrimination;
post someone else's personal information without their consent;
infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
send spam or unsolicited commercial messages through the Service;
scrape or harvest data from the Service using automated tools without our written permission;
interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers;
upload viruses or other malicious code;
use the Service to build a competing product.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Content You Post

Threadstone lets you submit store listings, reviews, ratings, photos, comments, and other materials ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant RockWorks LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes such as resizing or reformatting), display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content to operate, provide, promote, and improve the Service.

By posting User Content, you represent that: (a) you have the rights needed to post it and grant this license; (b) it doesn't violate these Terms or any law; (c) any review or rating reflects your honest opinion; and (d) you haven't been compensated by a store or third party for posting a review without disclosing that fact.

We're not obligated to keep any User Content, and we may remove it at any time if we believe it violates these Terms or applicable law. User Content reflects the views of the poster, not RockWorks LLC.

5. Store Listings and Reviews

Store listings and reviews are created by community members and may contain errors or outdated information. Threadstone does not independently verify store details. Always confirm hours, services, and other details directly with a store before visiting.

If you're a store owner and believe your listing contains inaccurate information, reach out to us at [email protected]. We may update or annotate listings at our discretion, but we're not obligated to remove negative reviews that reflect a user's honest experience.

6. Intellectual Property

The Threadstone name, logo, design, software, and all content we create (excluding User Content) belong to RockWorks LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to use the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our permission.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email our DMCA agent at [email protected] with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification and location of the infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party tools such as mapping and geocoding services. We're not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party services, and any dealings you have with third parties are between you and them.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RockWorks LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content on it is accurate or complete. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RockWorks LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed $100 or the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater. Some states don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RockWorks LLC and its officers, members, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If you have a dispute with us, please start by contacting us at [email protected] — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally. If a dispute can't be resolved informally, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we'll try to give you notice through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from your Profile page. Sections covering User Content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive any termination.
