Run, don’t walk!
This store is beautiful, spacious and open. I want to go hang out and stitch there all day. The staff is amazing - friendly, helpful, encouraging. Store organization is on point! The owner is the sweetest! As they are newer, canvas selection wasn’t overwhelming. But that’s more an industry issue most likely.

Wonderful experience!
Needleworx has the inviting vibe of “come join our family room, and stitch a while.” The staff is knowledgeable and experienced. And so sweet. Worth the stop outside of Charlotte.

Beautiful retail space and community gathering spot!
Needleworx Studio is a really special LNS. From the moment you walk in, the space itself sets the tone: it’s large, thoughtfully laid out, and designed in a way that naturally brings people together. There’s plenty of room to spread out your canvas and threads without feeling crowded, but it still manages to feel cozy and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can easily settle in for a long stitching session, strike up conversations, and feel part of a community. Whether you come in alone or with friends (I made the trip with around 10 people from our local stitch club in Durham), it feels like a shared creative space rather than just a retail shop. As we browsed, we saw other stitchers gather around tables, chat and help each other, and seem like they were genuinely enjoying everything about the experience. And the staff? Absolutely exceptional. The owner Bianca and her team are warm, welcoming, and eager to help… whether you’re a beginner or a longtime stitcher. Unfortunately that kind of friendliness isn’t always a given in needlepoint shops, but here it’s part of the culture. You never feel intimidated or overlooked, just encouraged and supported. Needleworx Studio has nailed the balance of beautiful retail space and true community hub. I cannot wait to visit again!
